Welcome to Swillington Primary School. I am extremely privileged to be headteacher here at Swillington Primary School, where we find the talent in everyone! We believe in Success and Respect for All. We exist to provide a cradle to career education that allows our children to enjoy lives of choice and opportunity.

The Swillington ethos statement is: Finding the talent in everyone.

I am truly inspired by this ethos statement and my personal leadership vision is to extend this principle further; to realise that by learning and living together with respect, each one of us within the community becomes greater in terms of understanding our potential. We become a community of great individuals operating with success and each making our unique, respectful contribution to our environment.

My aim is to discover the unique voice within each child and for them to imagine the possibilities that their education can bring to them. Through education, we have the gift of inspiring love of learning; creativity and the courage to make positive choices to build the future. We need clear and consistent systems and measures so that we can report the progress and achieve strong outcomes through feedback and purposeful planning. To do this, we need to value our staff and give them the opportunities to be their best so that they can work in partnership with parents and carers to give each one of our children the very best foundation to take them forward so that they can stay safe and live their best lives.

I believe strongly in the power of diversity, inclusion, tolerance and the innate potential of every child. With the talented and passionate team at Swillington we will build on the clear and consistent systems already in place to ensure that the school continues to go from strength to strength to achieve the highest standards possible for all our pupils.

Due to COVID-19, The past couple of years have given our school community many challenges, but due to the strength of our team and families, we have got through it together smiling.

To really fully appreciate our wonderful school why not arrange to visit us.
